On Friday, September 23, 2011, at the United Nations General Assembly, Abu-Mazen spoke for the massive majority of the Palestinian people:

    There is no doubt the Abu Mazen’s Speech was outstanding and a language very well understood by the UNGA.
    Few essential points were not mentioned like compensation to the 1948 stolen land, but perhaps it was not the time for it at this stage.

      Abu-Mazen spoke about amicably resolving the refugee problem in accordance with UN General Assembly resolution 194; which specifically refers to both the right of return and the compensation for property and suffering.
