Continuing Ethnic Cleansing in Palestine

The latest signs of the Zionist persistent plan to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Palestine were given by none other than the state of Israel’s prime minister and its minister of foreign affairs.  Addressing members of his Likud Party, Benjamin Netanyahu said: “I say to all those, who demonstrate against Israel and in favour of a Palestinian state, a simple thing: I call on you to move to the Palestinian Authority or Gaza.”  In dealing with Palestinians who are Israeli citizens who demonstrate against the government’s oppressive policies and actions against them, he added: “I ordered the use of all means, including razing houses, utilizing the strictest rules and drafting new rules.”

In the meantime, his minister of foreign affairs Avigdor Lieberman repeated the call for revoking Israeli citizenship from those living in the northern area of the country known as the Triangle that has an overwhelming majority of Palestinians.  The Times of Israel reported that Lieberman said: “The people in the Triangle must understand that if there is an agreement, they will not be citizens of the state of Israel.”

The calls for ethnically cleansing of Palestinians from Palestine are becoming more vocal and extremists, including Netanyahu and Lieberman, are voicing those views openly and to the whole world.  They believe that they can do whatever they wish and that no one can stop them from continuing to commit their crimes against humanity with impunity.  That is so as a result of their experiences.  They have done it before and the world did nothing; thanks to certain superpowers’ unconditional support of the policies and actions of the state of Israel – specifically, European support in past decades and American support in more recent years.

The current calls of ethnic cleansing of Palestinians inside the state of Israel is only the beginning of a future (near or distant) further ethnic cleansing from Gaza, Jerusalem, and the West Bank under the excuse of terrorism, security, etc.  The Zionist experiment in Palestine is inconsistent with equal humanity for all, whether a Palestinian state is established on parts of Palestine or otherwise.  Each and every time the number of non-Jews nears becoming equal or greater than the number of Jews over all of historic Palestine, these calls of ethnic cleansing of Palestinians will find some sponsors to advocate and spread them for fear of threatening the denial of the state of Israel from claiming to be a Jewish and democratic state if Jews become a minority within the territories under direct control of the state.

A different way these calls for ethnic cleansing can be read is the hysteria under which those Israeli leaders are living and the fear they feel from the movement of history against their Zionist project that is built on basis of discrimination and racism.  The more of those signs come up the deeper is the belief that the only solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is the transforming of the current state of Israel and the Palestinian Territories into one secular democratic state for all Israelis and all Palestinians alike.  This may seem to be too far removed from current reality, but it is the only “peaceful” way to resolve this conflict.  Otherwise, war, oppression, occupation, discrimination, racism, apartheid, ethnic cleansing, suffering on all sides, etc. continues; a state of affairs that is unsustainable.

Jews around the globe, and more so Israeli Jews, need to wake up and realize that their future as part of civilized humanity is being stolen away from them by the racist and discriminatory Zionist ideology that persists on advocating that the only way to have security is in the continuing oppression of another people, stealing their land, and claiming it as their exclusive state.  A better idea is to live and let live; in a democratic country where all enjoy equal human rights without reference to one’s religion, ethnicity, or any other form of discrimination.
